Travel Vaccinations

Northgate Family Practice no longer provides travel advice.  If you require travel advice please contact a private travel clinic or contact one of the larger pharmacies, eg, Boots or Medicare. 

Due to the shortage of vaccines available on the NHS it is advisable you get your travel advice from one of these organisations.

LADIES DID YOU KNOW IF FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVE MISSED YOUR ROUTINE CALL FOR MAMMOGRAM SCREENING, YOU CAN ALWAYS CONTACT THE BREAST SCREENING UNIT AND ARRANGE A NEW APPOINTMENT TIME & DATE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO WAIT A FURTHER THREE YEARS FOR A NEW APPOINTMENT.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Passport signing
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
